My Privacy Statement

My personal philosophy of Kirigoe (霧越) is about "crossing over the fog"—a commitment to transforming the complex into the simple and finding clarity in a world of noise. This philosophy applies directly to your privacy.

I believe you have a right to understand how your data is handled. This policy is my attempt to be as clear and transparent as possible.

The Short Version

I do not collect, sell, or share any of your personal data. This site uses no ad trackers and no cookies. I am not in the business of harvesting information; I'm in the business of sharing my work.

What Is (and Isn't) Collected

To be perfectly transparent, here is a complete list of all data this site interacts with.

Website Analytics

To understand what content is useful to visitors, I use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool.

  • What it collects: Umami anonymously gathers your IP address, browser type, operating system, and the pages you visit.
  • How it's protected: All analytics data is self-hosted on my own Linux server. Your information is never sent to or shared with any third-party data company (like Google). It's for my eyes only.

Contact Form

If you choose to contact me using the form on this site, your submission is handled by the Formspree.io service.

  • What it collects: Formspree will capture the information you provide, such as your name, email address, and message, and securely send it to my email..
  • Your Rights: I only use this information to respond to your inquiry. If you would like your form submission data to be deleted from the Formspree servers and my email archive, please send a request to [Your Email Here], and I will remove it.

Our Technology & Infrastructure

In the spirit of full transparency, here are the third-party services used to build and host this site. These services do not collect your personal information on my behalf.

  • Vercel: This website is deployed and hosted on Vercel.
  • GitHub: The source code for this site is managed on GitHub.
  • Cloudinary: Some images, particularly the preview images for social media links (OpenGraph images), are hosted and served by Cloudinary.
